| Adding ipe to the center of your bow gives that extra zip to an arrow. Because ipe is such a dense wood, it has excellent compression. A word to the wise ipe has a dark side to it; it IS a stronger wood so, using a weaker belly wood may end in disaster, I reccomend using hickory as a belly wood. |
