PLEASE ALLOW 10-13 WEEKS FOR COMPLETION ON U-COMPLETE BOWS AND ON FINISHED BOWS, AND 4-5 WEEKS ON FLOOR TILLERED BOWS AND CUSTOM KITS. LONGER LEAD TIMES OCCUR WITHIN LARGE VOLUME SEASONS (These seasons start in the summer, and stretch through Christmas, if ever in doubt or need to know out current lead time to start new orders, please contact us at email@example.com for a more accurate time frame. CERTIAN CUSTOM ORDERS (ADDITIONAL COLORING, STAIN,TIP OVERLAYS, ETC,) CAN TAKE LONGER. SOME BUCKSKINS ARE KEPT IN STOCK, BUT MOST ARE TANNED AS THE ORDER COMES IN. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THERE IS NO COMMERCIAL OR MECHANICAL METHODS USED IN BRAINTANING BUCKSKINS AND ROBES. THE SAME METHODS THAT HAVE BEEN USED THOUSANDS OF YEARS AGO ARE STILL USED TODAY IN MY SHOP. ALL ITEMS ARE INSURED BY BOWSKIN, AND CONFIRMATION AND TRACKING NUMBERS ARE EMAILED TO THE CUSTOMER ONCE THE ORDER IS COMPLETE AND SHIPPED. At Bowskin Archery we want you to be happy with your purchase. For this reason we offer a warranty of our products. . We are confident and proud of our work and want you to be as well. We will warranty any of our products against any defects in craftsmanship or quality.
This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of parts deemed defective by the manufacturer. 120 day warranty on any finished hickory backed bow. One year warranty on any finished bamboo backed bow. 60 day warranty on U-Complete and/or up until the customer begins work on the stave. No warranty on staves, or floor tillered staves
Extreme heat can cause delamination of the bow; do not keep bow in areas of excessive heat, ie,over heaters and fire places, in cars during summer, hot attics, with directly sunlight from the sliding glass door for a long period of time, etc. your finished bow comes sealed and needs no further treatment sealant or oil. Inspect your string often, when string shows signs of wear replace the string, worn or frayed string can lead to broken bows, so inspect your strings often. Shooting wooden bows is different from shooting fiberglass and compound bows. These bows are meant to be pulled and shot, not held for more than 3 seconds. Do not over draw or string the bow backwards (all of our bows are tillered in at 28” (but can be customized for larger or shorter draw lengths),nor do not dry fire the bow, this can cause damage that is not covered by our warranty.
Wood bows are unique and some care is needed, when first strung, it is best to draw the bow to half draw then to three quarter draw, then work your way to full draw. this is the equivilant to stretching before a race.
Customer assumes all shipping costs involved for warranty work. Manufacturer reserves the right to honor or revoke the warranty. All warranty work must be returned to Bowskin Archery and Buckskins to be inspected by manufacturer. Custom orders are Non-refundable
Warranty and Shipping for Over-Seas Customers
The shipping costs to our over-seas customers is considerably high and we do apologize for this. It is in this knowledge that we mention the risks in warranty work. The customer will assume all shipping charges for purchase, and shipping charges for warranty work. We do strive for excellence but mistakes can happen. We understand the high costs of shipping, and do the best possible to provide you with quality product. Still it should be mentioned of these risks involved with shipping. any problem present in the work will be repaired or replaced, free of charge.
